Do We Plan Our Lives Before Birth? A Look Into Soul Contracts & Destiny”

A glowing golden scroll marked with a heart floats in a starry sky as translucent soul figures gather around it, symbolizing pre-birth planning, soul contracts, and the divine orchestration of life purpose.

A sacred moment of soul planning — where agreements are made, lessons are chosen, and Divine Purpose is set in motion. Even the shortest life can carry a vast spiritual mission.

Last night, I had the privilege of interviewing Robert Schwartz about his book, The Soul’s Plan. We explored the concept of soul contracts—how we plan out life’s challenges before we are even born. Rob’s book confirmed something I have believed for a long time: we travel in closely knit soul circles, enlisting the help of our soul family to learn the lessons we choose for each lifetime.

But I never expected to wake up today to heartbreaking news that would make this concept hit home in such a profound way.

A Life Cut Short—Or a Contract Fulfilled?

Earlier this week, I had emailed a woman I had worked with for years—she was part of my stockbroker’s team. Typically, she would reply right away, but this time, I didn’t hear back. I figured she was busy and decided to wait another day. Still, nothing. This morning, I decided to call.

I was completely shaken when her colleague answered and informed me that she had tragically died in a traffic accident over Labor Day weekend. She left behind a devoted husband and a 9-month-old daughter.

What Was the Plan?

How could this happen? What could her soul contract have possibly been? Was her time here truly complete?

These are the kinds of questions we may never fully understand while we are still on this plane of existence. And yet, I believe there was a plan. A perfect one.

She was a loving mother who gave a new soul the chance to experience life on Earth. She was a cherished friend and colleague, someone who deeply impacted the lives of those around her. More importantly, she lived her Divine Purpose while she was here.

Blessings on your journey, Tonya. 💙
